The National Aquaculture Association (NAA) will be presenting an in-depth learning session, Fish for the Future, at the Center for the Advancement of Foodservice Education (CAFÉ) annual conference in Portland, Maine, June 22-24, 2022.
CAFÉ represents culinary educators from across the country. The session focuses on sustainability and the need to increase the supply of U.S. farm-raised seafood.
At the opening night reception, the NAA is hosting a learning station with U.S. farm-raised trout. The Fish for the Future session is another opportunity to showcase your products. Some possible suggestions would be salmon ceviche, catfish tacos, or a smoked catfish spread. All of these preparations travel well and that is an important consideration as restaurants continue to provide take-out meals.
The NAA is seeking additional US farmed seafood to showcase at this event. To contribute, growers provide product, a recipe that would be prepared by local chefs and literature.
This is a great opportunity to educate teachers who in turn reach thousands of students.
