The “Area Specialized Agent- Aquaculture” position is primarily responsible for planning, developing, executing, evaluating and reporting the impacts of high-quality research-based extension programs in the field of aquaculture, over a designated multi-county area in western North Carolina. The Area Specialized Agent works collaboratively with county agents and Extension/research faculty from NC State University, NC A&T State, as well as industry clients, county leaders, and other partners. The expectations and job performance are governed by the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of North Carolina Cooperative Extension.
The Area Specialized Agent for Aquaculture is eligible to be a member of the Field Faculty (non-tenure track) of North Carolina State University and is accountable to the West District Extension Director (DED).
