Piper Redux is the working title for a new edition of Fish Hatchery Management (1st edition, FHM–also known as the ‘Piper Manual’ or ‘Black Book’) being developed for current and future generations of fish culturists. “Redux” means to revive, bring back, and present in a new way. This is precisely what Piper Redux intends to do—to recapture the practical tone and everyday insight of FHM, infuse it with contemporary knowledge, and make this fundamental information readily accessible to all fish culturists.
For Piper Redux to fully meet the needs of practicing fish culturists, we need to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey by August 15th to tell us about what aspects of FHM are critical to informing your operations, what topics or species are missing and should be developed, and whether you or your organization might be able to help with Piper Redux. Please encourage all the fish culturists in your network to complete the survey. We are looking to get as much input as possible, so please share this request with others in your program and professional network.
