Sales of farmed trout are experiencing significant growth, particularly in countries like the United States, Thailand, and Ukraine. In January, Norwegian trout farmers saw a 49% increase in volume and a 43% increase in value compared to the previous year, with shipments to Ukraine rising by 177%. Fresh whole trout has become more dominant in the product mix. Additionally, sales of fresh farmed cod are increasing, with Spain being the largest destination for farmed cod and the UK remaining a key market for wild-caught frozen cod.
