The National Aquaculture Association (NAA) requests the help of farms benefiting from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved therapeutants, to complete a survey assessing the current and future unmet aquatic drug needs for use in private and public aquaculture.
The survey has been organized by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agency’s Drug Approval Working Group in collaboration with the Aquatic Animal Drug Approval Partnership and Aquatic Drug Approval Coalition. The NAA is a co-chair to the Coalition. Survey results will inform therapeutant testing and approval prioritization by FDA, drug sponsors, Drug Approval Working Group, Aquatic Animal Drug Approval Partnership and Aquatic Drug Approval Coalition.
All survey responses will be held anonymous and confidential unless a participant opts to provide contact information at the end of the survey.
The collaborators expect subsequent data analysis will take a couple of months but are hoping to have at least some high-level results to share this July during the Aquaculture Drug Approval Coordination Workshop in Bozeman Montana. A full report summarizing the results is expected to be available by the end of the year or early January 2025 and will be shared widely to the aquaculture community.
