Agriculture Future of America (AFA) is a non-profit organization that helps college students find their place in agriculture by providing new connections, career-readiness skills and scholarship opportunities. AFA reached out to NAA to seek participants from the U.S. aquaculture industry for their upcoming Agriculture Leaders Conference held in Kansas City, Missouri on Nov. 7-10, 2024. In 1997, the AFA Leaders Conference was created in an effort to connect talented agriculture students from across the nation with businesses and service within the agriculture industry.
AFA strives to increase the profile of various industry sectors to students while at the same time closing the gap between workforce needs and career preparation. The 2024 conference will bring over 850 competitively-selected college student delegates from all across the country to interact with agriculture business leaders, learn about career opportunities, apply for internships and more.
