AquaTactics, Bimeda’s Washington-based aquaculture division, has announced its entry into the autogenous fish vaccine sector, following USDA approval.
Bimeda Biologicals’ facility in San Angelo, Texas, will handle autogenous fish vaccine production and safety testing, leveraging its experience in terrestrial animal vaccines. AquaTactics’ Kirkland, Washington site will continue focusing on fish vaccine development and customer support. AquaTactics offers various fish health services, including veterinary care, vaccination protocols, and pathology services. With USDA approval, AquaTactics aims to expand its vaccine solutions nationwide, enhancing fish health and aquaculture productivity. Dr. Katharine Onofryton emphasized the impact on the aquatic veterinary profession, ensuring access to high-quality fish vaccines across all 50 states.
