Those possessing a USFWS Bird Depredation Permit must submit an application 30 days prior to expiration, or by November 30, 2025 to continue activities authorized by your expired permit until the Service has acted on your request for renewal.
The USFWS ePermits team has sent email reminders to permit holders with additional information, and you can view permits and permit applications via your ePermits login.
USFWS have shared these guidelines regarding reporting during December:
- If you do not expect to take in the month of December, you can submit your complete report with renewal.
- If you do not expect to take in the month of Dec and submit your complete report with renewal, but end up taking in December, you can submit an amended report later.
- If you expect to take in the month of December, you can submit your renewal without your report. Be sure to attach your report as soon as you can in January as your renewal will not be processed without the report (hence why you need to submit renewal on or before 12/1 to operate under continuance).
Permittees should access their ePermits account for renewal, and reach out to USFWS with additional questions or if you are unable to access your ePermits account.
